CCI has over 100 years of experience in the design, development, and manufacture of robotic end of arm
tooling, lean manufacturing cells and custom automation.  Below are a few of our past projects.
System Design and Engineering
Robot End of Arm Tooling
CCI Solutions was contracted by a major fiber glass manufacturer to redesign the end of arm tooling
(EOAT) for a Fanuc robot.  The EOAT removes fiber glass packages from transportation carts and
loads the packages into a dielectric oven.  The old design was ineffective and lead to dropped and
damaged packages.  The challenge was to design the EOAT so packages would be held firmly while
not  damaging the glass fibers.  Our final design was 30% lighter and had 3 times the holding force of
the original design.

The successful design is currently being installed in multiple facilities around the world.
Lean Manufacturing Cell
CCI Solutions was awarded the contract to provide a lean manufacturing cell to a tier one supplier of
fuel delivery systems.  The lean cell facilitated the assembly of fuel pumps.  The multi-stationed cell      
provided a series of Poke-Yoke devices to ensure proper assembly.  The final station supported leak
testing. The cell was designed in 3D using SolidWorks.
Custom Automation
CCI Solutions was contracted to design a robot gantry adhesive dispensing system. The system was
designed in 3D using SolidWorks.  Components are delivered to the system on a dual lane belt
conveyor.  The components are captured and a custom Yamaha  robot gantry dispenses the adhesive
is a specific pattern.  A Nordson Versapail© dispenser was integrated as part of the machine. The
system also features a Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI.  The  machine is capable of producing 14
parts per minute.
